Our first choice falls on the third and exciting 100% DesignSA that coincides with Decorex, but one ticket allows you entry to both.
The 100% DesignSA exhibitors list includes top local and global brands, from classic and contemporary furniture and textiles to ceramics and more, showing what to expect in the coming year. The expo will wrap at the end of Women's Day, so don't miss this tomorrow!
Visitors will be welcomed with a colorful and curated display of tones and trends. The attractive exhibition stands aim to attract both the designing trade and the public.
The main entrance will greet you with the Plascon 100% Colour collection depicting the four wind direction of Africa in a compass of colour.
Centre stage will find you one of SA's most successful design exports, Dokter and Misses (Afro-modern products and furniture design by husband and wife team Adriaan Hugo and Katy Taplin).
The impressive list continues with Tonic Design (the designer choice for the annual hospitality interior display: 100% Hotel); interior design firm Inhouse Brand presenting the office of the future in 100% Office Space; the popular stand of 100 Beautiful Things showcases SA product design in an artful display; emerging talent will have a dedicated pavilion: 100% Talent; 100% Textiles features new African textile designs and photography, curated by Cathy O Clery -- this extends to a series of 'Talking Textile' presentations.
The 100% Upliftme project supports the arts education of children at risk and features ceramics from Cape Town studio Art in the Forest. The profits of works sold helps funding clay workshops for children through the Light from Africa Foundation.
A new addition to the show is top décor and fashion accessories.
The 100% Design Café is the vibrant meet-and-eat gathering at the heart of the expo and will be styled by Jacket Interiors.
Remember that 100% Design SA takes place alongside Decorex Joburg, but is located in its own hall. As a bonus for visitors, one ticket covers entrance to both shows! Hurry while it only lasts till the 9th of August: 10 am -- 6 pm. Ticket prices at R110 for adults, R90 for pensioners and scholars, R20 for kids under 12.
