The signature restaurant of the Upper Deck Lifestyle centre in Plettenberg Bay — fu.shi fusion cuisine — is hosting a wine pairing evening on Wednesday 4 June 2008. Festivities will commence at 7pm and tickets cost R195 per person.

The evening promises barrels of fun, laughter and the delight of award-winning food and wine.

Diners can look forward to home-cured salmon carpaccio with pear, walnut and mustard lettuce salad and spiced lime atchar dressing accompanied by a glass of Iona Sauvignon Blanc 2007.

The menu also includes oven-roasted kingklip with fennel and potato bake, wilted Chinese cabbage and lemon beurre blanc accompanied by a glass of Iona Chardonnay 2007.

Alternatively, guests can opt for confit of Duck with fried pakchoi, mushroom risotto and five spiced jus accompanied by a glass of Iona 'The Gunnar' 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Petit Verdot.

To complement the savoury with something sweet, enjoy Apricot panna cotta with apple sorbet and honeycomb dust accompanied by a glass of Noble Iona 2007 Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc.
