Adult health, sexuality and lifestyle expo, Sexpo returns to the Mother City in May this year for its second coastal instalment with an event double the size of its Cape Town debut last year.

Sexpo, which attracted 35 000 visitors at last year, has become one of South Africa’s most popular events. Sexpo Cape Town takes place at the CTICC from Thursday 14 May to Sunday 17 May.

"It will be our largest event yet," says organiser Silas Howarth noting that floor space has doubled this year.

"The focus is on delivering a smorgasbord of entertainment," he says, "with stage performances every 45 minutes on the main stage, supplemented by workshops and other entertainment on the secondary stage".

Favourites return to the show including Miss Nude Australia Arianna Starr, penile artist Pricasso and the Vegas style quickie wedding Chapel of Love where last year several Cape Town couples tied the knot or recommitted. The Boerewors Brother penile puppetry artiste is also exhibiting.

New show additions include the naughty hypnotist, Alain The Great, whose performances attracted thousands in Durban earlier this year. Miss Pole Dance UK Tracy Simmons, dance ensembles and Miss Nude South Africa will be on stage while a jam-packed programme of workshops fill in the gaps.

"Allow yourself at least three to four hours at Sexpo," says Howarth, "there is so much to explore and as the show has grown, so much more to discover".

A 3D erotic art show is also planned while the Naked News will be auditioning for presenters and attending international adult stars meeting fans.

"The world's most famous adult star Mikayla Mendez will be at Sexpo in Cape Town. She has been touted by many to be the new Jenna Jameson with a legion of fans globally."

Sexpo delivers a truckload of entertainment intended to entice, enthral and provide a one of a kind experience Howarth says. This year the number of exhibitors has also increased by 40 percent but the bulk of the increase in size has been to accommodate the injection of additional entertainment.

"Sexpo is about indulgence, having fun and an opportunity for couples to explore their more sensual sides. This year it's an event bigger and better than ever before!"
