Drink a toast to the arrival of summer and magical balmy evenings with a picnic concert at Nederburg on Sunday 26 October.

Relax on the lawns in front of the gracious Manor House, hugged by the dramatic Drakenstein Mountains, and enjoy the sounds of the UCT Big Band.

Conducted and presented by Professor Mike Campbell, the Big Band will perform music made famous by Frank Sinatra, Glenn Miller and Count Basie, as well as assorted musical highlights from the swing era. This 18-piece band features the most talented young musicians from UCT's SA College of Music.

Tickets for the picnic concert are R60 each and you can bring your own chairs, blankets and picnic goodies or simply order a delicious platter from Nederburg at R65 per person.

Prepared to order, the picnic platters are filled with freshly baked bread, a selection of cheeses, cold meats, paté and preserves. Vegetarian and children's options also available. Nederburg wine, coffee and cold drinks will be on sale.

Booking is essential for picnic platters and no other wine than Nederburg will be permitted on the premises.
