Victoria Beckham has a rather gruesome way of keeping wrinkles at bay.

The singer-turned-fashion-designer has regular sheep placenta facials at popular Beverly Hills dermatologist Dr Harold Lancer.

The facials costs $500 a session and are said to contain gold particles too.

Dr Lancer's spokesperson told the Dail Mail: "Victoria is a devotee of Dr Lancer's products and is someone who always wants the latest and best in anti-ageing treatment.

"She has had the stem cell facial several times already. She visits the office every two weeks when she is in town."

The treatment which is said to give instant results also has supporters in actress Jennifer Lopez and reality TV star Kim Kardashian.

Lancer's spokesperson claims that the treatment has visible results almost instantly,saying that customers report improved complexion and reduction in wrinkles.

"The stem cells interact with your own cells, basically telling them to wake up, produce collagen and stimulate new cell growth.

As for the inclusion of gold particles, this allegedly helps to deliver the nutrients deep into the skin's many layers.

Victoria is known to lead the pack when it comes to choosing unusual treatments. The mother-of-four is said to have previously used a nightingale poop treatment and bee venom night cream.
