It’s that time of the year where waking up early for work is such a drag, we are all tired as it has been a rather especially long year.
However, tiredness is a feeling that shouldn’t manifest itself on how you look.

Christmas came early when Poise Brands invited me for a facial at the Life Day Spa, situated at the 5-star African Pride Crystal Towers Hotel in Century City.
Poise Brand consultant and product trainer, Elmi Smit introduced me to the Juliette Armand collection.
Smit explained that the Greece brand is the only brand she knows of, that is personalised and unique to each individual’s ‘skin mood’.
Skin mood refers to the changes the skin goes through, from oily to dry, sensitive and a combination type.
She also told me Juliette Armand products are paraben free, propylene glycol free, mineral oil free, and allergen free.
She treated my face with the Elements collection in combination with the SunFilm range. Pairing up the repair cream, the DNA repair serum, the Dermabrasion gel, clarity cream mask and the SunFilm SPF 30 Face Gel.
My skin is oily and sensitive, which makes it prone to breaking out. These products however, left my skin deeply hydrated and improved the overall quality of my skin.
Smit said Julienne Armand products are suitable for both sexes and all ages.
She explained how important it is to ensure that we’re using the right products for our skins.
Now that we’re all going to be relaxing by the beachside, it would do us good to remember these following tips for sun protection:
• Apply enough sunscreen at least 15 minutes before going outside. Don’t forget areas like your ears, lips, neck and hands
• If possible, limit your sun exposure during 10am and 3pm when the sun’s rays are the strongest
• Wear a hat: choose a wide brim to protect your ears, face and neck
• Grab for sunscreens with broad-spectrum sun filters
• Sunscreens should be used every day, 365 days a year!
