As for putting a bucket in a shower to catch the water, precisely where do I stand without falling over the bucket? I'd rather shower with a friend!!
Reducing the water in a flush by placing an object in the cistern to replace volume. Fine for when flushing a toilet that has been urinated in but long term disaster for solids. That cistern is designed to carry the required water needed to carry the solids to their destination!!
When looking for furniture it is more important to look for Forest certification labels indicating that timber from environmentally and socially well managed forests were used in its production. There is not much in the way of recycled material used in wooden furniture production. As for the footprint and environment degradation of metal doors and furniture - I really am astounded that you even mention using metal in the same context as environmentally friendly? Mining, smelting, manufacture of raw product, final manufacture of finished product? Tree's are renewable and what smore if sourced from certified plantations or forests where strict management regimes are enforced by third party assessors and the annual increase of forest area is mapped, how can you suggest a non renewable material such as metaleven if it is recycled?. graham"); document.write("
