More men say they're happy with their partner wearing comfortable nighties or straightforward pyjamas, than those who say they like their partner to wear lingerie to bed.
In a recent poll, 37 percent of men named pyjamas as their preferred bedtime outfit for their partner, with 55 percent of this group saying they find full-set pyjamas cute.
Sexy lingerie made an appearance as the next favourite bedtime get-up, with 32-percent of men saying skimpy is good.
Third on the list was negligee or nighties, which 27 percent of the men said they preferred, while 22 percent loved to see their lover in one of their own Tshirts.
A naughty 16 percent said they loved their partner to wear absolutely nothing to bed.
The poll of 1,912 men and women aged 18 and over was conducted by UK mattress firm, Ergoflex. It also questioned women about their preferences for their partner's bedtime outfit and found that women like to see a little skin too with boxers or underwear the top choice.
Interestingly, when it came to whether or not your partner's opinion would influence what you wear to bed, 71 percent of men said no, while just 35 percent of women said the same.
Even so, the majority of men and women (78 and 70 percent respectively) say they choose comfort over how sexy they look when it's bedtime.
Jed MacEwan, Managing Director of Ergoflex UK, observed that anything restrictive, uncomfortable or which doesn't keep you at the right temperature can really impact on your sleep in a negative way.
"It's good to see that so many men consider full pyjama sets to be more attractive- particularly for those who take their partner's preferences into consideration," he added.
