Men value keeping a roof over their family's heads so much that they'd rather give up sex than lose their jobs, a recent British study found.
According to an article from the Daily Mail, 43 percent of men questioned in a recent poll conducted by Online Casino, Roxy Palace, said that if they were faced with the choice between their sex life and their job, they'd have to choose the latter.
"What a dilemma! If it came down to an either or choice I’d have to live without sex," answered one respondent.
"There’s no way I could afford my mortgage and bills if I lost my job and the whole family would be in crisis. Thankfully this isn’t a choice I have to make."
The results of the poll were based on the answers given by 700 men in full-time employment, both single and married and between the ages of 21 and 50.
Those who didn't have a mortgage or financial responsibilities to shoulder said they'd rather give up their job than live without the joys of sex.
"If it came to giving up work or sex there really is no comparison. I'd find another job without too much difficulty but I couldn’t imagine a life without sex," another respondent wrote.
Considering the tough economic climate, the results were not surprising, a spokesperson for the casino observed, adding that it was interesting to note the different priorities of single and married men.
Men who are parents are more likely to do whatever it takes to look after their brood, while single men might see their jobs as more easily replaceable.
