The Cadiz Freedom Swim took place on Sunday 26 April 2009, a 7.5km swim from Robben Island to Blouberg. Despite extremely foggy conditions and a 3.5 hours delay, swimmers took on the challenge and completed one of the world's greatest sea swims.
Natalie du Toit won the race with Tyron Venter winning the male category.
