British teen supermodel Lily Cole secured a place at Cambridge University on Thursday after she scored straight As in her senior high school exams, her school said.
The elfin-like 18-year-old redhead — the face of Moschino's I Love Love perfume — scored top grades in English, philosophy and ethics, and politics at Latymer Upper School in west London.
Now on holiday, Cole has deferred the start of her degree course until 2007, when she will study social and political sciences at King's College, Cambridge, Britain's domestic Press Association news agency reported.
"We expected her to get the grades," said a spokesman for Latymer Upper School, which had record numbers of pupils winning places at Oxford and Cambridge this year.
Cole has appeared in Vogue, and in ads for the likes of Chanel, Prada and Christian Lacroix, since she was discovered by a modelling agency four years ago in central London when she was out grabbing a burger with friends.
Britain's best known supermodel, Kate Moss, 32, only finished junior high school, where her best mark was in science — and that was a C.
