If you're a fan of Mr Price clothing, you'll be glad to hear that the brand has just gone live with its online retail store.  At last, we can skip those ridiculously long queues and buy our favourite looks in just a few clicks.

What prompted the move to online retails? It's all about keeping up with its customers, says the brand.

"Our customers are incredibly tech-savvy and need a convenient and secure way to get their fashion," says the brand's CEO, Stuart Bird.

"Around the country, they’ll now be able to access the full range of merchandise which was previously only possible by shopping at one of the larger stores. With nearly 18 000 items available online, customers will have access to Mr Price’s entire fashion range.

Better still, you can access the site from your cell phone too, making online retail that much more convenient.

"More South Africans access the internet from their phones than from their desktops, which is why we developed a fully mobile e-commerce store that allows shopping from web-enabled mobile phone or tablet," Bird explained.

Navigating the site has also taken into account the trends in international e-commerce retailing. Once in the site, you can shop by size, colour, brand, newness, price and category. You can save items in your shopping bag between visits, track all orders easily and share even share your favourite items or wishlists with friends through integrated social media platforms like Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter. You can also purchase e-vouchers and send them on electronically via email or SMS for someone's birthday.

Payment methods are made easy too with six options to choose from including credit card, debit card, COD with store collections, EFT, gift vouchers and their in-house MrPricemoney account.  Delivery will be to the home, place of work, a customer’s nearest post office or the nearest store, for a R35 delivery fee.

If you were worried about identity theft and online payment security, you're not alone. "We will be the first South African retailer to be partnering with CyberSource, a Payment Gateway and Fraud mitigation service provider that counts many of the world's top online retailers as its customers, including Apple's iTunes store. Our data integrity will make sure that our customers’ details will be kept completely safe and confidential," Bird assures.
