The master of the haute couture high heel Christian Loubouton says he has no sympathy for women who say complain about the pain his sky-high heels give them.
Famous for his signature red-soled shoes – usually ridiculously high - the shoe designer says you can expect no sympathy from him for your aching feet, because he has none to give.
In an interview with Grazia magazine, the 49-year-old explained why he frankly doesn’t care if women teeter around in pain in his high heels.
He told Grazia magazine: ''I really have not so much sympathy. If Tina Turner and Prince's back-up band can perform on stage in them for three hours, you can't tell me they are impossible to walk in."
Louboutin added that it’s either do or die when wearing his heels.
"High heels are pleasure with pain. If you can't walk in them, don't wear them.''
But the designer also agreed that a man in high heels is ridiculous.
"Men in high heels? That's a prosthesis. But I sympathise. Women have these giant heels. They get taller and taller. The men need help, but a man in heels is ridiculous," he said.
