Kelly Clarkson "doesn't care" when she appears on Worst Dressed lists. The 'My Life Would Suck Without You' singer would rather be criticised for wearing something unusual than be too scared to take fashion risks.
She said: "...I don't care at all. I've literally had people say to me, 'Why are you wearing that?' and I'm like, 'I don't know, someone laid it out for me and I put it on!'
"I've never been the person that cared about that stuff. There are like more important things in the world. I grew up in a small town where everyone put their two cents in, so this is just on a bigger scale."
Kelly admits her dress sense can be eclectic, revealing she doesn't have a set style as she is most concerned with wearing comfortable clothing.
She revealed to Britain's Heat magazine: "I'm a little all over the place. I love dresses I've worn this Diane von Furstenberg dress a few times because I love dresses that are comfortable, especially in the summer when it's so hot. But I'm also a jeans girl I'm a little bit of a tomboy and I'm a little bit girly as well."
Kelly (27) is also happy to be photographed without her make-up, insisting she is proud of her natural face.
She is equally as happy to be known for her curvy figure, and insists any changes in her physique are due to a new exercise regime, not a faddy diet.
She said: "I guess my thing is, sometimes I'm thinner and sometimes I'm thicker. It just depends. Some years I love pizza more, and some years I get into not eating meat. I fluctuate a lot.
"I think if people want to lose weight, then watch what you're eating and work out. It's the age-old diet."
Gisele Bundchen is set to teach her husband how to model. American football star Tom Brady, who married the Brazilian beauty in February, doesn't feel comfortable posing for photoshoots and hopes Gisele will boost his confidence in front of the camera.
He said: "When I am out on the football field I have so much confidence in what I am doing. With photoshoots, I don't know what I am doing. I'm at the whim of the photographer and the crew.
"I should probably ask her for some help. She does tell me to have fun and to approach it in the third person, almost like acting. She makes it look so easy."
Tom, who is quarterback for the New England Patriots, believes being a supermodel is a much tougher career than being an athlete.
He explained: "That is harder than playing for 85 000 people."
Tom has also revealed the responsibility of helping to raise his two-year-old son John made him realise he was ready to marry Gisele.
The 32-year-old sports star discovered his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan was expecting his child soon after they split in 2006, and when he was already dating Gisele.
He admits he was relieved Gisele agreed to stand by him and play a role in his son's life.
Tom told Details magazine: "You're talking about a life. It forced me to grow up and I've learned about my wife and how important she is to me. You see what she is really about. But that's not what she wanted either.
"We have been through a lot together. That has been a nice settling part of my life as well."
Demi Moore has "excess skin and stretch marks". The 46-year-old actress, who has been slammed for denying having cosmetic surgery, has hit back at her critics and insists her body has changed since she became a mother.
Demi who has three daughters with ex-husband Bruce Willis took to the internet to address the comments she reportedly made during an interview with France's Marie Claire magazine.
Referring to an old photograph that shows the Hollywood beauty sporting stretch marks, Demi wrote on her Twitter account yesterday (01.09.09): "I still have excess skin and stretch marks!"
She added: "Ahh hate to break it to you but I do. Comes with having a few kids 4 some of us!
"All this garbage that came out today about me is nothing more than an effort to diminish not just me but all women (sic)."
During the magazine interview, Demi who was rumoured to have undergone £200 000 worth of operations insisted she has never gone under the surgeon's knife, but admits she understands why it appeals to some women.
Demi, whose svelte appearance in 2003 movie 'Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle' sparked surgery rumours, said: "It's completely false I've never had it done, but I would never judge those who have. If it's the best thing for them, then I don't see a problem.
"On the other hand, I don't like the idea of having an operation to hold up the ageing process it's a way to combat your neurosis. The scalpel won't make you happy."
Demi also used her internet blog to urge her female fans to refuse to conform to ideals about their appearance and be proud of their bodies.
She wrote: "Diminishing us by continually measuring women based on how we look. Or dont look. Creating comparisons instead of connections Say no 2 that (sic)!"
Rihanna has posed topless for Italian Vogue. The 'Umbrella' singer has taken part in a raunchy photoshoot with famed fashion photographer Steven Klein for the magazine's annual couture supplement.
The Grace Jones-inspired cover of the special publication sees the star clad in a structural feathered Valentino gown and patent knee-high boots, throwing a bucket of water at the camera.
Inside, the daring pictures see the 'S.O.S.' star clad in just skimpy pants, with glitter covering her chest.
Other images show her in a Madonna-style conical bra, and another has her donning a sharp-shouldered jacket teemed with just lace knickers and suspenders and boots.
The Barbados-born beauty's hair also dazzles in the pictures, sculpted into a range of high quiffs and cones, teamed with dramatic dark eye make-up and deep red lips.
Most of the pictures have been shot in black and white, with a lone colour photograph depicting her wearing a turquoise dress and boots.
David Bailey thinks there is "no personality" in modern fashion photography. The legendary photographer who has worked with stars including model Jean Shrimpton, Sir Mick Jagger and Damon Albarn claims air-brushing has taken much of the mystique out of the profession.
He said: "Now it's such a mass industry. They just churn it out. There's not much personality to it any more. You can't say, 'That's a Helmut Newton picture,' because you don't know who took the picture. 'Who did the retouching?' is the question you ask. It makes mediocrity look good. And people who are really good, it makes them look mediocre, so it's a levelling out."
The 71-year-old photographer thinks some people in the profession don't spend enough time with their subjects, meaning they are never able to get the best out of them.
He explained to Britain's The Guardian newspaper: "Most photographers just take pictures. They just come and go 'click' anyone can do that. Which is great the more people who do that the better it is for me.
"If I take a picture, I know the person. I use plate cameras most of the time, so they're not looking at cameras, they're looking at me. I don't say, 'laugh.' If I want them to laugh, I make them smile. If I want them to be grumpy, I'll probably be rude to them."
Sienna Miller has a "failsafe" look for the red carpet. The 'G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra' actress usually love experimenting with her look, but thinks important events are not the best time to do so.
She explained: "You should always have a reliable big-event look. When I need to feel comfortable for the red carpet, I stick to my failsafe look of smoky eyes and nudge lips. I use black eyeliner, a volumising mascara and a nude gloss."
The 27-year-old star also revealed some handy make-up secrets she has picked up over the years.
She said: "I like to learn from others. I've nicked tips from almost every make-up artist I've worked with. The two I rely on are highlighting my Cupid's bow to give me fuller lips, and shading just beneath my jawline and down the bridge of my nose to add definition.
"I also believe in feeding my skin. I've been told you need to do it at night. I use a facial oil under my moisturiser and now my skin looks much better in the morning."
Lily Allen never plans her stage outfits. The 'Fear' singer only decides what to wear for a performance at the last minute because she likes to match her attire to the crowd.
She said: "I never plan what I wear, not until about five minutes before I go on. It is totally about what I'm comfortable in at that moment. That's why I can't plan because I don't know how I'm going to feel.
"I have to go to a show about an hour and 45 minutes before it starts because I like to get in there, I like to put my music on, I like to do my hair I do my own hair and make-up and choose clothes and do a bit of vocal warm-ups and then go upstairs, peek behind the curtain, get a feel for where it is I am and what kind of people I'm performing to."
The 24-year-old star finds it annoying when people obsess about the clothes she wears rather than her music, especially as male musicians are rarely asked about their style.
She told Britain's Elle magazine: "People would never even think of asking Noel or Liam Gallagher what they wear before they go out. But because you're a girl, people think you want to look pretty in a certain sort of way.
"I do like playing with clothes but I have to feel comfortable in what I'm wearing before jumping on that stage."
Scarlett Johansson likes to "play with" her hair colour. The 24-year-old actress, who recently ditched her blonde locks in favour of a fiery auburn hue, thinks altering the colour of her tresses is one of the easiest ways to update her look.
She said: "I go to the hairstylist every three weeks. To me, hair colour is something fun to play with. If you want a different look, it's easy enough to alternate."
Scarlett has sported blonde, red and brunette tresses over the years, and has as relaxed an attitude towards make-up as she does to her hair.
Scarlett, who is the face of Dolce and Gabbana's make-up range, explained: "I think some girls are afraid of make-up because they don't know how to apply it properly, so they just don't wear it. I always tell my friends that if the make-up doesn't look good, you can always just wash it off.
"My mother always loved fixing herself up and wearing make-up and doing her hair. I wanted to be like her."
