Julia Stiles has mocked "cringeworthy" eco-friendly celebrity fashion lines. The Hollywood actress has posted a spoof video on her website JuliaStilesStyles.com in which she pretends to have launched a not-so-environmentally-friendly clothing line.

The Vacationeers star Jess Grace — part of the comedy group Julia filmed the video with — said: "Julia's got a good sense of humour. The video was a way to poke fun at celebrities and their causes.

"The Bonos and Tim Robbinses. We even like these people. They've done good things. But it can be cringeworthy."

The first joke design featured on the video is a men's T-shirt called Ten Shirts I Love About You, which Julia claims was wastefully made from 10 discarded tops.

The second item is a men's suit made from dozens of newspapers, while the final design is the innovative item "shants" — a shirt which can be flipped around and turned into trousers.

Julia met the four-man comics through US actor Bill Pullman and they decided to work together on the sketch — which pokes fun at celebrities including Gwyneth Paltrow, Natalie Portman, Alicia Silverstone, Bono and Katie Holmes.

She said: "I was impressed, so we talked about making some comedy shorts. We were just having a laugh, honestly."

Actress Emma Thompson claims the wet weather in Scotland helps keep her wrinkle free.

She said: "I think Scotland's got a lot to do with it, I spend a lot of time up there and it rains a lot, which is good for the complexion."

Tyra Banks has given fans a sneak peak of her new haircut. The model-turned-presenter has now posted a picture of herself on Twitter — but blurred the photograph to avoid her new look being properly unveiled before the return of her talk show, 'The Tyra Banks Show', next month.

Alongside the picture, she wrote: "Here's me rockin my REAL hair, had 2 blur it so its still a surprise on Sept 8! Who else is sportin their real hair that day? (sic)"

Tyra has previously declared September 8 'National Real Hair Day' in honour of her new look.

Speaking about the show, she vowed: "No fake hair at all! Will be the hair coming out of my scalp! 4 all 2 C! No ponytails, no ballet un head. Hair will be out and free (sic)!"

While Tyra (35) is excited about her hair, her joy has been blighted by a painful stye on her eye. She complained: "everytime i blink, it hurts... (sic)"

After appealing to her followers for remedies she could try to ease the inflammation of her eyelid gland, she decided to apply a used tea bag to the afflicted area.

She added: "thx so much cuz my sty is feeling much better!!! it wasn't really visible to the eye but i could feel the discomfort. but y'all healed me!(sic)"

Liv Tyler wears perfume in her bellybutton. The 'Incredible Hulk' actress was given the unusual tip by her father, Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler, and insists it makes the fragrance feel like it belongs to her.

She explained: "My dad is full of great beauty advice, like wear your perfume in your belly button and on the soles of your feet so that it becomes part of you."

The 32-year-old brunette beauty has also picked up a number of useful recommendations from other members of her family, including her model mother Bebe Buell.

She explained: "My mom and grandmother were models and took such good care of their skin that I couldn't help but learn from them. I can't go to bed without cleansing, toning and moisturising — no matter how late it is. I use masks a lot, too."

This is not the first time Liz has revealed some of her beauty secrets. Liv — who has a four-year-old son with her estranged husband, musician Royston Langdon — previously revealed she uses lipstick as blusher as it gives a longer lasting colour.

She said: "Just press the colour into your cheeks so it looks like a stain. I like wearing pink lipstick as, unlike red, you can still apply it after a few cocktails."

Cindy Crawford refuses to hide her cellulite when she is on the beach. The 43-year-old model is happy to flaunt her body in skimpy swimwear, even though she knows her lumpy thighs will be criticised.

She told Redbook magazine: "I have cellulite. I admit it. But sometimes I just say, 'Screw it, I am going to wear a bikini and I am not putting on a cover-up.'

"I think I look good for my age. I am not 25 — I am 43. That feels like a big pressure, especially when a magazine is dying to get a picture.

"I am so aware that I don't want to change the way I live because of that kind of attention. You just brace yourself for a bad picture."

Cindy — who has two children, 10-year-old Presley and Kaia, seven, with her husband Rande Gerber — also revealed fans are sometimes disappointed when they meet her and realise motherhood has taken a toll on her figure.

She explained: "People get excited that they're meeting the Cindy Crawford from the Playboy spread 13 years ago, and I am a mother of two now.

"I have to check in with myself. It's good to have an awareness of the outside pressure — I can't let it get to my core. I love my life."

Beth Ditto found meeting Karl Lagerfeld one of the biggest challenges of her life.

The Gossip singer — who recently designed her own range of clothes for British high street store Evans — found meeting the outspoken Chanel creative director difficult because of his strong opinions and views.

She said: "Being face-to-face with people like Karl Lagerfeld was one of the most challenging things I have ever done."

Earlier this year Karl slammed German supermodel Heidi Klum, branding her too fat for the catwalk.

Beth, who is known for her rounded bodyshape and eccentric outfits, explained she found it hard to connect with the designer because of her individuality.

She explained to Scotland's Sunday Mail newspaper: "I never knew what resistance was really like until I entered the mainstream. When you are in a punk scene and everybody around you thinks like you, talks like you and walks like you and you have the same ideology, that sort of resistance doesn't exist.

"It is much more dangerous to be a feminist and stand in front of Karl Lagerfeld and look him in the eye. That felt like resistance far more than being at a punk show full of people who already know about politics and feminism."

Previously, Beth admitted she preferred the designer's work to his personality. She confessed: "What if, come tomorrow, he hates me? Well, I don't really care because he's not my friend. It's not like a break-up. He's just a person who makes dresses for me sometimes. "I wouldn't say he's a really cool person but he's a really cool artist. I appreciate a lot of art by really sh**ty people. And I'm not so weak to think that this is going to last or they're going to love me forever."

Anne Hathaway has an "irrational" love for Chanel. The 'Bride Wars' star admits she would buy a dress made by the French fashion house even if she didn’t like if it.

The 26-year-old actress said: "I will always love Chanel and I am completely irrational when it comes to their clothes. I will see a dress and not like it but when I hear it's Chanel, I suddenly have to have it."

When it comes to everyday fashion, Anne has a much more relaxed role model — Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet.

She explained to Britain's New magazine: "No one gets this because she's not known for her style, but I love the way Kate Winslet dresses. She is always so down to earth, but also really chic. And of course, she is an amazing actress and I love how you become so lost in her movies."

Anne — who was recently named the face of Lancome's Magnifique fragrance — also recalled her early disastrous experiments with perfume. She said: "I remember being given my first fragrance when I was 12. It was a peach body spray and when you're young, you don't really understand the idea of less is more.

"Now, as the face of Lancome's Magnifique I have to say that it's one of my favourite scents. I love the smell of fresh roses."

Diane Kruger likes to have her own individual look. The star refuses to follow every trend because she enjoys putting a personal twist on her style.

The blonde beauty said: "I come from fashion. I used to model, but you know to me, fashion is just part of the personality. I think every time you step out into the public eye or on the red carpet I want it to be reflective of my personality so I guess that's where it comes from and I really think you should have fun with fashion. I don't like to look like everyone else, maybe that's where it comes from."

Diane also says she doesn't take too long getting ready as she likes to have a natural look.

She said: "I never take ages getting ready to go out. I really don't. I just like to wear what I do and it doesn't always work — I mean a lot of people criticise what you wear on the red carpet but I don’t like people who look like everybody else. I just want to look like me."

Donatella Versace loves "acting up" to her "diva" reputation. The chief designer of Versace accepts socialising with famous people is crucial to her success and she enjoys strutting her stuff on red carpets.

She said: "It's a love-hate relationship. I would definitely prefer not to be obliged to attend certain events and parties, but I must.

"On the other hand, I have to admit that I do actually enjoy acting up to the 'diva' role that I have been allotted — after all, I am a bit of a diva, aren't I?!"

Although Donatella is confident in most aspects of her life, she admits she is still terrified when it comes to unveiling her new designs.

The 54-year-old star added to Britain's The Times newspaper: "I have to say that presenting a collection to the public has always and still does cause me a certain amount of anxiety. The show is the moment of truth — when you discover whether or not your work is good.

"When you have done a good job and the public appreciates it, the satisfaction you feel is utterly unique!"
