Fergie has said she was determined to make her shoe range affordable for her fans. The Black Eyed Peas singer has teamed up with Brown Shoe to create funky yet reasonably priced footwear as she didn't want to alienate young girls.
Talking about the range — which is priced between $69 and $131 — Fergie said: "I designed these shoes with my fans in mind because when I was growing up I could never afford the stuff I saw in Vogue and neither can a lot of them."
The 34-year-old beauty also revealed she has to wear a lot of high shoes because her actor husband Josh Duhamel is so much taller than her.
She told US TV show 'Extra': "I have to wear heels most of the time because of the height difference between me and Josh. Really high heels with built in platforms."
Fergie recently admitted she was obsessed with shoes and owns over 500 pairs.
She said: "I'm a girl, and I love accessories. It's one of the reasons I have huge closets, and we keep making room in the house for more closets. I don't like to throw anything away."
'Sex and the City' stylist Patricia Field thinks 'MC Hammer' pants are this season's ultimate fashion statement.
Patricia — who has styled stars in movies such as 'Confessions of a Shopaholic' and 'The Devil Wears Prada' — says the baggy trousers are the perfect way to stand out in a crowd.
She said: "MC Hammer pants are a good place to start if you want to stand out. Or pants with stirrups. I'd definitely recommend investing in some harem pants too. Other than that, make sure you tap into the hardwear trend with a good hair accessory or hat."
Meanwhile, Patricia has branded 'Poker Face' singer Lady Gaga and former Spice Girls star Victoria Beckham "style icons".
She added to Britain's Heat magazine: "They're both very different in style and yet very similar. Lady Gaga is a pop star personified. Like Madonna before her, she has fun with her fashion and it's all very showy and tongue in cheek.
"In the same way, Victoria's created her own look that's very glamorous. She definitely has her own way of putting outfits together that other people try to copy. They're very different as style icons, but individually both very stylish in their own right."
Angelina Jolie is laid-back about her red carpet style. The Oscar-winning beauty — who is often voted one of the world's most glamorous women — doesn't worry about what she's going to wear to major events and usually sticks to a style she feels comfortable in.
She said: "I don't think too much about what to wear on the red carpet. I usually have three basic colours and I get the same shapes in different colours!"
Although Angelina isn't overly concerned with fashion, she admits she does like to put on glamorous outfits from time-to-time as it makes a change from her everyday clothes.
The 'Wanted' star — who raises six children with partner Brad Pitt — said: "I like to get dressed up and feel like a lady every once in a while."
Despite giving birth to twins Knox and Vivienne 11 months ago, Angelina has regained her super slim figure and credits it to running around after six children.
She told Britain's OK! magazine: "I feel great, albeit a little sleep deprived! I run around with all these kids so it’s pretty busy. But I feel great and I'm very happy that they're healthy."
Jo Wood is reportedly furious over her estranged husband Ronnie's plans to launch a fashion line.
The Rolling Stones rocker announced last week he has teamed up with Liberty's of London to design a range based on his concert attire, angering the former model — who started divorce proceedings last month — as she was planning her own similar venture.
A source told Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "Jo was the one who designed Ronnie's stage outfits. She was the creative brain behind that.
"I'm not sure Ronnie will be that au fait with the intricacies of fabrics and seams. It is a bit of a snub to Jo, especially as she has been wanting to launch her own range for some time — and Ronnie knows it."
Jo (54) has been inspired to design after witnessing the success her friend Kate Moss has had with her collections for UK store Topshop.
Jo said recently: "I'd love to bring out my own ethical fashion range. I've been thinking about doing really cool T-shirts for a long time now, but I just haven't had time to do it."
Speaking about the collaboration with Liberty — which has previously worked with William Morris, Archibald Knox and Bernard Nevill — Ronnie said: "I wanted to work with Liberty of London because of the great tradition that Liberty has of artistic collaborations."
The range — depicting his own artwork — is said to "fuse rock 'n' roll and floral patterns in a cauldron of mixed media innovations".
Nicky Hilton's latest clothing range has been "inspired by Japan". The hotel heiress — who already has several fashion lines including Chick and Nicky Hilton Beverly Hills — says the country has given her lots of ideas, adding she can't wait to launch her latest designs at September's Tokyo Girls Collection.
She said: "I think I got inspired in Japan a lot. I am launching at Tokyo Girls Collection, which is in an arena with 24 000 people. I have been trying to wrap it up and get the samples set out."
Nicky is looking forward to the show as it is completely different to anything she's done before.
She told People magazine: "The girls, actually, as the models come down the runway, are shopping, buying clothes. It's cool."
Anne Hathaway has turned into a fashion stylist. The 26-year-old actress insisted on lending Julie White, her co-star in New York play 'Twelfth Night', a dress from her own wardrobe for the recent Los Angeles premiere of Julie's new movie 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen'.
Julie told the New York Daily News: "I had my dress picked out for the premiere, and the night before Anne came in with kind of a wadded-up-looking black bag that you get from the deli. Inside of it was this gorgeous Marchesa dress. She's like, 'Julie, I think you should wear this.' I'm not kidding. That's how good a girl she is." Julie was delighted with Anne's choice, adding she couldn't have looked better at the event.
She said: "Anne was absolutely right. She has brilliant taste. It looks perfect!"
Madonna was "relaxed and composed" when she posed naked aged 20. Photographer Martin Schreiber pictured the pop superstar in 1979 before she became famous, and admits he is unsure whether she enjoyed the experience.
He said: "I was teaching nude photography at Parsons school in New York. I needed models for the course — and one day a 20-year-old called Madonna Ciccone showed up. She was just another citizen, a girl trying to make ends meet. She was quiet, taciturn. I'm not sure it was something she enjoyed.
"She did it for the money, in this case $30. She was relaxed, composed, did as asked. Some people are stiff, some are there to do a job, some give a little more. She was in the middle — she did what she was told but nothing extra."
In the photograph he took, Madonna — who is in profile — is sitting on the floor staring ahead, with her legs folded to her right and her left arm extended behind her onto the floor.
Martin couldn't believe it when he saw Madonna on the cover of Interview magazine in 1985, and then again on the front of Time magazine.
The photographer added he would love the chance to work with the 50-year-old singer again, particularly to see how she has changed over the years.
He told Britain's Guardian newspaper: "If I had my time again, I would have done more with her, changed the lighting, with maybe a bit more on her face, or tried a longer lens. I'd love to shoot her again in exactly the same positions — to see how she has evolved."
Sophie Ellis-Bextor is addicted to internet shopping. The 'Murder on the Dancefloor' singer is trying to stop buying clothes and accessories online because she is spending hundreds of pounds a month.
The 30-year-old star said: "Nowadays, I mainly buy online. I love Urban Outfitters and Net A Porter, but I think I need to start calming that down a bit.
"You go, 'Wow, £400 for a dress!' Then you get acclimatised and start thinking, 'Hmm, £250, that's not bad...' But it's still a lot of money."
Despite being in the public eye for nearly a decade, Sophie claims she's only just started to develop her own personal style.
She explained to Company magazine: "I've always loved fashion, but lately I've got more confident about pushing the boundaries and realised that style isn't always about looking pretty, it can be edgy too.
"I wear vintage and high street. I still have things I bought 10 years ago."
Blake Lively's fashion sense has improved since she became famous. The 21-year-old beauty — who rose to fame in hit US TV show 'Gossip Girl' — says her clothing choices got better and better once she moved from her quiet Californian hometown to work in New York.
She explained: "I grew up in Burbank and it felt like a small town but now I'm living in New York City, which I love, and I have a much better wardrobe. My life couldn't be more different than it was before."
Despite a growing acting career, the blonde starlet revealed she is still self conscious about her appearance.
Blake (21) explained the only way she can be sure pictures of her will turn out well is if she pretends she is her 'Gossip Girl' alter ego Serena van der Woodsen when she is posing.
She explained: "It's weird because being in front of the camera does make me less shy than when I am myself. When I have to be myself in photoshoots, it's just not so good.
"It's a weird mixture because I read this script and I said, 'I have to play this part. Nobody could play this part as good as me.' Then when I got it I felt like I didn't deserve it and yet there was nobody else who did. You have to believe you can do this, otherwise you can't."
Supermodel Jodie Kidd has more shoes than clothes. The 30-year-old beauty has a wardrobe bulging with designer outfits, but footwear is the only thing that gets her really excited.
She explained: "Shoes were the one thing I could take from the catwalk shows. I have an amazing collection, but they've all got five or six inch heels so I rarely wear them. For everyday wear I love my Lanvin flats and Uggs. I also have a lot of handbags. Probably 50-odd."
When it comes to clothes, Jodie's style depends on whether she's living in her home on London, or her country retreat in Sussex, south England.
She said: "My style is split between two vibes: country and city. My country style is relaxed with jeans, t-shirts, cashmere jumpers and Uggs, and my city style is much smarter and designer-led with tailored trousers and a cropped jacket.
But no matter where she is, Jodie's "fat day" uniform is the same: "big, baggy hoodies or a man-size jumper with leggings or tight jeans".
She added: "There are things about my body I dislike, but the key is to play down bits that aren't so great and enhance the ones that are."
