New British 'it-girl' Agyness Deyn is said to be the new Kate Moss. While she certainly has become more than extremely popular of late, appearing everywhere, does she really having staying power as a supermodel or is she a flash-in-the pan overnight success?

Breaking the mould after a long line of über-feminine supermodels led by Claudia Schiffer and Cindy Crawford in the early nineties, Agyness has crash landed on the international fashion scene and broken through the Berlin wall of preconceived fashion beauty ideals.

This five-foot-eight model is gawky, lanky, and frankly, looks like a boy. It's an easy mistake considering the cropped, platinum hair, the heavy eyebrows and distinct lack of make-up. Her punk influenced personal taste in clothes favours suspenders, skinny jeans and sensible shoes. Deyn comes across as an 80's throw-back.

This idiosyncratic anomaly has somehow knocked Kate Moss from the number one spot on best-dressed lists, become the face of Armani and appeared on the cover of American, Italian and UK vogues.

So what’s all the fuss about?

Baffled as you may be, perhaps the answer lies in her refreshingly different look, her flawless, glowing skin and ability to clean up for the catwalk. Deyn has opened and closed shows for many top names such as Anna Sui, Michael Kors and Burberry.

Love her or hate her, there is no escaping Agyness with her bold brights and neon socks. Apparently she can also sing!
