Model and TV presenter Alexa Chung is just a little jealous of fashion students because she was rejected after applying to study at London's Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
The successful fashionista, who is also a contributing editor for British Vogue, told The Observer newspaper that she always wishes she could join in when she sees design students.
She lamented that she should have gone to study fashion design, particularly as she comes from a family of designers, but a career in TV meant she lost focus.
" I veered into TV, but always end up in fashion one way or another. I suppose, even though I didn't get in to Saint Martins, I managed to leapfrog the process."
The face of Lacoste's Joy of Pink fragrance and the host of Lifetime Channel's 24 Hour Catwalk, Alexa hardly has much to complain about when it comes to a career in fashion. She told the newspaper that her brand lets her down personally at times.
"I'm told about the influence I have, but it's not me - it's Alexa Chung.
"It does make it difficult to shop, though. I walk around thinking, 'everything's a bit samey.' Then I see that the stuff I think is samey — like the saturation of Peter Pan collars — comes from me."
