Angelina Jolie's perfect pout is down to a $4 lip balm. The 'Changeling' actress, who is renowned for having sexy full lips, swears by Shea Terra's Menthe Orange Organic Shea Lip Butter to keep her mouth soft and kissable.

The lip balm boasts a variety of unusual products including raw golden beeswax from Uganda, virgin coconut cream oil, African potato, Namibian tsamma melon seed oil, rooibos, chamomile flowers and wild Namibian plum oil.

The reasonably-priced mouth moisturiser also contains mint oil, meaning it doubles as a breath freshener.

A source said: "Angelina stockpiles the lip butter to preserve her to-die-for pout. She likes it because it also helps to freshen your breath and Angelina hates chewing gum."

Angelina (33) isn't the only celebrity to invest in budget beauty products. Jennifer Aniston makes her own lip scrub by mixing half a teaspoon of sugar with water and brushing her mouth with a toothbrush, while Scarlett Johansson is a fan of a paddle hairbrush which combats split ends and costs less than $12.

Selma Blair recently revealed her secret to banishing bags under the eyes is to take a cold shower. She explained: "When I wake up bloated, that really helps me de-puff."

Kate Moss has ordered six outfits from Poltock + Walsh's new collection. The 35-year-old model is a huge fan of the design duo — who launched their label in 2006 after meeting at London's Kingston university — and has already secured a number of pieces from their Autumn/Winter '09 range.

Designers Fiamma Poltock and Katie Walsh confirmed: "Kate is one of the biggest style icons worldwide and we're sure gets bombarded with clothing from designers around the world, so for her to come directly to us and make such a great selection is really a huge honour."

The pair added they could hardly believe their eyes when they saw Kate wearing one of their Spring/Summer 08 pieces.

And Stella McCartney says it's important to give every outfit an individual touch. The British designer insists it is fine to follow the latest trends, but warns fashion lovers must give their clothing a twist to ensure they stand out form the crowd.

She said: "Style it your way. Add accessories, roll up a sleeve or turn up a collar. Create a unique look. Mix a couple of pieces with your own existing wardrobe.

"Choose a statement piece by wearing the prints or embroidered pieces alone to give them breathing space."

The mother-of-three also believes it is essential to mix new clothes with old to spice up outfits.

She told Britain's Glamour magazine: "Combine old with new. I'll wear an embroidered jacket with my husband's old Fruit of the Loom T-shirt."

Stella was recently named the world's most influential designer. The 37-year-old beauty — who has designed clothes for Chloe, Gucci as well as her own Stella McCartney label — was the only representative from the fashion industry in Time magazine's annual 100 influential people list.

Meanwhile Renee Zellweger swears by a $145 anti-ageing moisturiser.

The 40-year-old actress is reportedly so determined to maintain her fresh-faced looks she has splashed out on an exclusive serum.

A source told National Enquirer magazine: "Renee simply can't live without patting her face with Perricone anti-ageing serum — at $145 per 5oz bottle! She is so nuts about the stuff, she orders dozens of bottles at a time."

Renee is not the only star spending a fortune in a bid to delay the signs of ageing. It was recently claimed Brad Pitt (45) is "obsessed" with having facials and regularly has expensive "detoxifying elixir peels and anti-ageing organic serum cleanses".

Former supermodel Cindy Crawford's skincare regime includes a day cream with antioxidants, a sunscreen, a night cream, and an eye cream.

Last year, Charlize Theron splashed out on "super berry" moisturiser Sugar Acai Age-Delay Body Cream, which is made from a fruit found in the Amazon jungle.

The cream — which costs $65 for a small tube — boasts it can "slow down time" and is packed with "age-defying technologies to nourish, protect and firm".

Blondie singer Debbie Harry has admitted to injecting herself with sheep embryos to stay looking young, while Demi Moore revealed she covers herself in blood-sucking leeches to keep her skin looking fresh.

Mischa Barton on the other hand doesn't care if she makes fashion mistakes. The former 'O.C.' star would rather experiment with her own look than have a stylist tell her what she should or shouldn't wear.

She said: "I'm sure I should be more conscious of it or conscious at all some days. I've always been a free spirit and a bit of a goofball and really into trying new things and just being expressive and creative though clothing.

"I guess no matter how much people like that or don't like that about you I don't think you should change that. I don't want to end up fully-styled head-to-toe and it's a personal choice not to have stylists but to do it on my own.

"And you know, there are hits and there are misses, but I think that is what fashion should be about for young girls."
